Paired photography and drawings that focus on satirical views of contemporary art and culture. We aim to poke fun at our own bad work as a way of commenting on the institution of gallery art. We came to our theme as a collective of business minded artists who are used to a certain standard of art when commodifying and monetizing it. This exhibition will use the lens of beautification that is inherent in gallery settings to view our intentionally “ugly” or cast aside work that would otherwise never see the light of day.
